About Trinity Outdoor Disabled Adventures

Trinity Outdoors Disabled Adventures (TODA) was founded by Jason Bland, a licensed physical therapist assistant who was injured in an automobile accident that caused him to lose his right lower leg. This did not stop Jason’s spirit, and through his Christian-based ministry, Trinity Outdoors Disabled Adventures (TODA) organization was founded on the belief that any outdoor activities are attainable that have become disabled. TODA was formed as an outreach program from Acadiana Amputee Support Group. The vision of the organization is to invoke enough community involvement to help see that more people with disabilities “STEP OUT and PUSH THEIR LIMIT” away from their usual way of life, and step into a life that builds confidence and provides spiritual uplifting along with others who are facing similar challenges. Activities such as tennis, golfing, hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, hiking, and summer camps are organized to help build memories for these ambitious disabled warriors that will last a lifetime. While the organization resides in Louisiana, many trips have been conducted on Texas ranch lands, and there is hope to pursue future partnerships with Texas communities who can fill the gap and bridge their hearts and spirits to begin an extended Texas mission of this ministry.  To learn more, visit

"Some of these people only receive the visits that I provide because they have no one else that visits them, and that makes me proud to be a volunteer."
H. Diggs, 2017

Founded in 1977, the organization currently serves 3,000 people a year in a two-county service area that covers more than 1,700 square miles.
